About Lizzie Kirchner

I am passionate about people and see my role as Real Estate Advisor as an opportunity to serve. Being a real estate advisor challenges me to think outside the box and problem solve daily. I enjoy providing knowledge, insight and steady guidance to my clients throughout their journey. A long list of successfully closed sales has earned me the confidence of former clients and the respect of my fellow brokers.

My interest in real estate started at a young age. As a child, I loved visiting my grandmother in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She lived in a brownstone she and her siblings had purchased and restored to its full glory. Back in the 40s and 50s, they were renovating and flipping homes, before it was fashionable!

My parents moved to Chicago when I was just two years old. By my 18th birthday, I had moved 11 more times. With each move, my fascination with real estate and interior design grew. I learned from my mother how to properly lay out furniture and work with the unique architecture of each new home to bring out its best design attributes. I carry these skills into my current work. I especially enjoy the opportunity to flex the creative side of my brain by helping clients visualize a home’s potential, assisting in home organization, supporting them through the process of getting their home ready for sale and ensuring that our photography captures the most compelling features of their home.

I am dedicated to helping my clients make sound real estate decisions. I understand that buying or selling a home is a huge life decision. I take care to guide buyers and sellers through the intricacies of each transaction and to empower them with knowledge so they feel comfortable every step of the way. I keep my clients’ best interests at the forefront of everything I do and strive always to exceed my clients’ expectations!

With nearly 15 years of experience in residential sales, I have a strong track record with clients who appreciate extra support, including first-time home buyers and families relocating to our fair city. I enjoy guiding them around Chicago and through the nuances of our local market. When those same clients come back to me a few years later ready to sell and find their next home, my heart is full – I am extremely honored to be a part of my clients’ lives through each and every life transition!

I joined Engel & Völkers, and specifically Ames Group Chicago, because their values - integrity, passion, client advocacy and a commitment to lifelong learning - are aligned with my own. I am hands-on, organized, trustworthy, and excited to offer my clients the expanded exposure and marketing opportunities that come from being a part of one of Chicago’s top teams within a global real estate company.

It’s my great privilege to serve on the Children’s Service Board benefiting Lurie Children’s Hospital. Other organizations I support include The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Big Shoulders Fund, Saint Clement Parish, PAWS, Share Our Spare and Children’s Space. I also lead a book club based on the book The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin which has increased my own happiness tenfold!

I love to travel and experience other cultures and am excited to collaborate with Engel & Völkers advisors in other cities. I enjoy learning new skills and languages; I'm currently working on my Italian and Spanish. Reading an engaging book or watching a great movie (for the 100th time!) is my favorite treat.
