An industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience and $2.2+ billion in career sales, I can confidently and effectively manage any situation. With a deep knowledge of Chicago, keen attention to detail, and impeccable integrity, I have earned many of the industry’s highest awards as well as Engel & Völkers exclusive Private Office designation.

I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers. My clients describe me as a direct, solution-oriented professional who respects their time and prioritizes their needs. While I don’t specialize in a particular niche, I have had significant success selling architecturally important property, vintage condos and coops, new construction, and high-end single-family homes. Likewise, I work with clients who are at all stages of life, from first-time home buyers to estate sales.

My marketing savvy is a core strength. As a skilled writer, architectural photographer, and former film producer, I craft compelling messages and connect with target audiences through elegant content. I excel in rebranding and positioning homes that have previously been on the market.

As a Licensed Partner (owner) of Engel & Völkers Chicago, I enjoy coaching high-potential advisors and teams who are eager to take their businesses to the next level and networking with our colleagues around the world. I served on boards at The Art Institute of Chicago and the Lincoln Park Zoo, and now support organizations that aid underserved youth, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I bring deep local knowledge and a lifelong connection to Chicago to my work as an Engel and Völkers Real Estate Advisor. As a 4th generation Chicagoan, I grew up in the Beverly area, and have lived in the Old Town, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park communities. That personal connection to the city’s neighborhoods has given me an authentic understanding of the architecture, character, and unique rhythm that define Chicago.

With decades of experience connecting people, cultivating partnerships, and negotiating deals, residential real estate is a natural extension of my passion. From first-time homebuyers to seasoned investors, clients describe me as knowledgeable about the Chicago real estate scene, enthusiastic, responsive, approachable, detail-oriented, a strong negotiator, and financially savvy.

I graduated from St. Ignatius College Prepatory High School and earned both an undergraduate and a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois. My interest in the built environment began early and strengthened as I studied and explored the remarkable architectural diversity that makes Chicago unique.

My civic career began in college, when I supervised a City of Chicago program that provided summer employment for local students. Interviewing young workers in every corner of the city broadened my perspective on Chicago’s many communities and deepened my commitment to public service.

While completing my graduate studies, I joined the City of Chicago’s Budget Office, later moving into the federal grants division and ultimately to the Department of Planning and Development. For more than twenty years, I helped guide over $4 Billion worth of transformative projects across Chicago, structuring financial incentives for residential, commercial, industrial, cultural, and institutional developments. My work brought essential services, economic activity, and new amenities to neighborhoods throughout the city. This involved negotiating deal terms, working through the legislative process, and making sure complex real estate transactions, often with multilayered financing, were closed in a timely fashion.

Raising a family in the city, I am well-versed in all aspects of the local school landscape, especially high school options, and I bring complementary strengths that enhance the Ames Group Chicago team’s ability to serve clients with care, insight, and professionalism. Living in Lincoln Park with my family and our dog lets me embrace all that Chicago has to offer—from running and biking along the lakefront to exploring its theater, music, and restaurant scene. I also enjoy reading and horseback riding, traveling to new places and getting involved in local philanthropic efforts.

I've had a lifelong passion for residential real estate. As a child, I eagerly joined my mother on open house tours, always curious to discover what made each home unique. After a four-year career in finance, I realized that my extroverted personality was better suited for a people-centric profession focused on assisting others.

I'm proud to be a part of the award-winning Ames Group Chicago team at Engel & Völkers Chicago. Working with a diverse range of clients, from first-time buyers to empty nesters, is incredibly rewarding. I'm dedicated to helping buyers navigate today's competitive market, and my optimistic outlook, along with my deep understanding of each property, enables sellers to achieve the best prices and terms.

I'm integrally connected to Chicago, having grown up in Hinsdale and later living in various city neighborhoods, including Streeterville, the Gold Coast, and Lincoln Park. My personal experience living in the city enables me to introduce our clients to nuances that are not obvious to newcomers.

In my life, one word resonates: Blessed! I cherish my wonderful family, friends, clients, mentors, and husband, who are my endless sources of inspiration and support. When I'm not working, my husband and I spend time with our extended families, explore new places, engage in volunteer work, and enjoy the delightful company of our spirited little shih tzu

I am proud to serve as a Senior Sales Team Member at Ames Group Chicago within Engel & Völkers. Collaborating closely with Jennifer Ames and our dedicated team, I am committed to delivering unparalleled service to our valued clients and colleagues. My meticulous attention to detail, candid advice, and in-depth understanding of the Chicago real estate market sets me apart. Bringing joy to our clients through exceptional service is my daily goal.

Before transitioning to residential sales, I played a pivotal role in expanding the renowned international music retailer Tower Records. Subsequently, I co-owned a high-end appliance business with a prominent national e-commerce platform. Following the successful sale of the business, I fulfilled my long-standing passion for residential real estate.

A California native who now calls Chicago home, I relish the vibrant city living experience, particularly in our lakefront neighborhoods. My interests extend to music, movies, songwriting, and exploring the city on my Vespa scooter. I also find solace at home with my husband. As a dedicated member and student at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music, I perform regularly with both The Beatles and The Grateful Dead ensembles.
